Palobiofarma Chooses Flex Databases for Pharmacovigilance Management

Palobiofarma is a leading clinical-stage biotech company dedicated to developing innovative medicines. Our focus on adenosine signaling drives our commitment to scientific excellence, with six drug candidates currently in different phases of development. Among them, PBF-999 for Prader-Willi Syndrome stands out as a key project. Our mission is to advance patient care by leveraging cutting-edge science to alleviate human suffering.

Why did you choose Flex Databases? What key advantages did you see in our solution?

As our clinical pipeline has expanded, both the number and complexity of company-sponsored clinical trials have increased. This growth necessitated an upgrade to our pharmacovigilance (PV) management system to ensure scalability and efficiency. Additionally, with more of our team working remotely, we needed a solution that could seamlessly support decentralized operations.

After evaluating multiple solutions, Flex Databases stood out as the best fit for our company. Its system offers the ideal balance between simplicity, flexibility, and competitive pricing. Moreover, throughout our selection process, the Flex Databases team provided exceptional guidance and support, making the decision-making process smoother and more informed.

What key features was Palobiofarma looking for in a PV module?

We sought a PV solution that was both intuitive and comprehensive, covering all essential functionalities required by a clinical trial sponsor. The user-friendly data entry and reporting tools in Flex Databases’ PV module were key factors in our choice. Additionally, the option to integrate other compatible modules—such as TMF, document management, and CTMS – was an important consideration for future scalability.

How would you describe your overall experience with Flex Databases?

Our experience with Flex Databases has been outstanding. From the outset, they have provided top-quality service and proactive guidance at every step. Due to various internal factors, our decision-making process took several months, yet the Flex team remained patient, supportive, and always willing to address our questions. They even facilitated reference checks to ensure our confidence in their solution.

The Flex team has proven to be a resourceful, highly skilled group of professionals dedicated to building long-term, trustworthy relationships. We have been assigned a dedicated project manager who collaborates closely with our team, ensuring smooth and efficient implementation. Their proactive approach and adaptability have been instrumental in meeting our specific needs.

What do you expect to achieve a year after system implementation?

Our primary goal is to fully implement the PV module and successfully migrate all legacy data from our previous systems. Additionally, we anticipate further leveraging the Flex Databases platform by expanding into other modules as needed, optimizing our operations for greater efficiency and compliance.

Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) in Clinical Trials: A Comprehensive Guide to Modern Oversight

For decades, the clinical research industry operated under a manual, labor-intensive oversight model. The gold standard was 100% Source Data Verification (SDV) – a process where Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) traveled to sites to painstakingly cross-reference every data point in a Case Report Form against medical records. However, as trials have become more data-saturated and […]
