SOLTI academic research group gets full transparency of clinical operations with Flex Databases CTMS and eTMF implementation

As spring continues to bloom, we’re excited to announce our partnership with SOLTI, Spanish academic research group that performs clinical trials of excellence in oncology.

With Flex Databases CTMS & eTMF implementation, SOLTI aims to perform detailed analysis based on the information included in the system, have an operational data repository easy to consult and to easily extract reports of transversal data for company statistics and performance over the years.

We’ve asked SOLTI team several questions about the new partnership:

How would you describe your overall experience with Flex Databases?

Our experience with FDB has been great, as they have provided a top-quality service and proactive guidance in every one of the steps developed so far. Due to different internal reasons, we have spent one year in the decision process. During all this time FDB have been very supportive, understanding and patient, answering to all the questions we made and giving us the opportunity to ask for references.

How’s the implementation going? What are the ups and downs of the process for you?

The implementation process involves a large number of steps and reviews from both SOLTI and FDB, requiring a close follow-up. FDB have been always providing support and leading every step along the process with proactive and resourceful guidance, in order to achieve the final migration in a timely manner. We are at the beginning of the process right now, and FDB makes us feel confident, as they are guiding us with periodic meetings and from the very first moment with a clear roadmap, with responsible and detailed milestones to achieve.

Do you have any other experience with eClinical software? If yes, how does Flex Databases compare?

Yes, we have worked with other softwares in the past, for different kind of activities, not only CTMS. What we can highlight of FDB software so far is that is adaptable to the needs of the users, is flexible in modifying to include our requirements. They are very customer focused.

How would you rate our team performance?

FDB team have proved themselves as a resourceful, driven and talented group of professionals, able to spark interest and establish long-term and trustworthy relationships. We are dedicated to clinical trials, that is our area of expertise, we are not experts in software, but all the time we feel that we can trust on FDB guidance, because they explain everything for us. What we have really loved of FDB team is that they are very proactive. We often have very tight agendas and FDB team manages to organize the meetings with us and to pull us along to meet deadlines.

What do you like the most about Flex Databases?

As mentioned previously, FDB team have been able to adapt to our demands and requirements based in our specific company needs, providing a great quality service and proactive guidance in every single step involve so far. They are very customer focused.

What do you expect to achieve in a year after system implementation?

Our expectation is to be able to implement a top-quality system, with a friendly use that satisfies our company needs, counting as well with a resourceful support provided on the daily basis by the FDB team. We expect to be able to perform detailed analysis based on the information included in the system, having an operational data repository easy to consult and to easily extract reports of transversal data for company statistics and performance over the years.

Risk-Based Monitoring (RBM) in Clinical Trials: A Comprehensive Guide to Modern Oversight

For decades, the clinical research industry operated under a manual, labor-intensive oversight model. The gold standard was 100% Source Data Verification (SDV) – a process where Clinical Research Associates (CRAs) traveled to sites to painstakingly cross-reference every data point in a Case Report Form against medical records.
